Changing YOUR life- one session at a time!
About my Practice
Hello and welcome! :-) to California Total Body Massage.
My name is Gwynne Hill, Owner, Licensed Massage Therapist.
Please help me welcome Kate Smith, LMT, an independent contractor.
Kate and I have separate hours so please check our schedules online or call for availability.
I have been licensed since June 2013 and I was a solo therapist from March 2015 to October 2018. I provide education and touch: care for the body; changing YOUR life- one session at a time.
Massage Therapy is not a luxury, it is self care. Regular massage balances the body, being both preventative and restorative. As a massage therapist, and a health care provider, I have extensive continual training with the human body. This combined with hyperesthesia, a heightened sense of touch, gives me the keen ability to be in touch with the body's tension. Along with communication of pressure and location, this ability allows me to follow a particular muscles's tension to a place of release, relaxation, and stretch. Massage therapy, in general, does not have to hurt, however, unless you receive massage on a regular basis, you will likely experience soreness in the days following your massage. The more you receive therapeutic massage, the better body awareness you will develop and better you will feel. I will do everything within the scope of practice to ensure you leave feeling better than when you came in.
Massage therapy is so much more than touch, a lot of it is education. If you have been diagnosed with something you either do not understand what it means, or are unsure whether Therapeutic Massage will help, I am happy to schedule an appointment to consult with you.
Being a Health Care Provider means you can use your Flexible Spending or Health Savings account to pay for your therapy.
I am qualified to work with cancer patients.
I do make house calls, anywhere within a 30 mile radius of my zip code, 20619., plus $20 Gas charge.
*If you live on Pax River NAS and would like a house call, my information is already in the system at the pass office; request a pass for the day of the appointment.*
I hope you have found this information useful.
I am always looking for ways to improve, so please email me with your feedback.
Thank you for your time!
